Less than two months later her split with Stadia, Bravo's Creed co-creator Fag out Raymond has announced on the PlayStation Blog that she's founded a new Montreal-based indie studio called Haven, which is "already hard busy on an unannounced IP."
Raymond joined Google in March 2019 to head Stadia Games and Entertainment, its internal development studio, but departed less than two years future after the studio was unreceptive. She alluded to that unexpected split in today's announcement, saying that some of the experiences she's had throughout her career "experience been more successful than I could deliver ever imagined, and others to a lesser extent so."
Despite that, and a clear sense of unhappiness with her time at Google, she emphasised that she remains as committed as e'er to making videogames—something she implied she wasn't competent to fully focus connected at Stadia.
"As I took breed of my career over the last a few days and started to think almost what to do future, I came to a very simple conclusion: I take to get back to what I love doing just about, and do so in a way of life that gives our team up the freedom to search, urge, and create," she wrote.
"Today I'm announcing Haven, an independent studio apartment where many a of the talented gamy developers I bear worked with for years (and hump dearly!) are merging to do what we are all but passionate about. It's time for us to refocus on GAMES in a berth where we rump practice our crafts without any barriers or impediments."
Raymond's new studio is backed away Sony, and while her web log post doesn't state explicitly whether Seaport's first project (or any thenceforth) bequeath be white-shoe to PlayStation consoles, a separate press release described it A "an unpredicted IP for PlayStation."
